All the guest friendly hotels stated in this list are located in Puerto Galera, along or within walking distance Sabang’s nightlife and girly bars action with one the exception: the Badladz Resort (which is just a 150 PHP motorbike ride away). These establishments are all very popular with like minded visitors so you won’t have any hassles bringing back a guest up to your room at night as long as you make sure she has some proper ID with her. All offer great value for the money and good service while the rates themselves can greatly vary anywhere from budget to 5 star luxury.

So, Where is the action at in Puerto Galera?

As far as Puerto Galera’s nightlife goes, Sabang is the place to be. You’ll find around 6 or 7 girlie bars (often self-described as discos) along the main drag with anywhere from 30 to 50 dancers each and numerous smaller bars along the beach. While the selection is much more limited than in Angeles City, being near the ocean is a big plus since Puerto Galera has some really nice beaches and excellent diving opportunities to offer for those also looking for daytime activities. Getting here from Manila by bus or mini van takes around 3 hours (boat included).

A hotel that is considered guest friendly, bargirl friendly or girl friendly simply means that the establishment will allow and won’t charge any extra to take back an unregistered guest up to your room. Quite a few hotels in South-East have a bad habit of adding a “joiner fee” to your bill and these can cost anywhere around from 10 to 25$ a night depending on their policy. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a lady back up to your room every night then you’re going to be paying a lot more money unnecessarily or worst outright denied her entry. I have taken the time to e-mail them all personally to make sure about their policy and have given their reply with the hotel description.

The Atlantis is one of the better guest friendly options in Puerto Galera. The resort is built up on the hill side just along the Sabang beachfront, grounds are immaculate with beautiful landscaping scattered throughout, all the tropical plants and trees are meticulously cared for everyday by the gardeners. Most of the rooms are located at higher levels while the restaurant, bar and dive shop are located right at the beachfront.

The Atlantis is particularly appealing for divers who want to enjoy some underwater activities during the day time. They have a very well run dive shop and 90% of the sites are within a 10 minutes boat ride. Once the sun goes down the girly bars and nightlife are just a 5 minutes walk away. Entire staff are warm, friendly and professional.

The Badladz Beach Resort is a great option for those who want to experience a more relaxed and chill atmosphere during their stay in Puerto Galera with a private beach right on their doorsteps a bit outside of the Sabang nightlife area. Facilities include a swimming pool, great sunbathing lawn up front with loungers and hammocks overlooking the bay and a great Mexican restaurant. Staff and owners on location are genuinely friendly and very professional.

Location wise, Badladz is about equal of distance from nightlife of Sabang and White beach. This is the only property in my list that does require a 10-15 mins trike/motorbike ride into Sabang. Highly recommended for those who don't mind the ride into Sabang at night!

Lalaguna Villas Luxury Dive Resort is located on a tiny strip of sand in a quiet area of Sabang about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the pier and nightlife. Resort is modern and you can notice directly that a lot of money has been spent on the facilities, rooms vary in size but are all of a very nice standard. Keep in mind that Lalaguna Villas is built up a hillside and while most of the facilities are on the ground level, some top level rooms can be a steep walk to climb up to. Facilities include a pool, sunbathing area, open air dining area, dive center and cocktail bar.

The Manarra Seaview Resort is another of the newer properties that have popped in Sabang recently, it's located a bit outside from the main drag so a great when you just want to relax away from the crowds in a peaceful ambiance. The look of the place is quite Mediterranean, definitely a nice place to stay, panoramic views seen from the restaurant and some of the higher level rooms over the sea are stunning. However, as there is no elevator this comes at a price of about 100 or so steps. Rooms are quite big, smallest starting at 40 sqm. The restaurant and staff are 1st class, pool and bar were also great with comfortable loungers and towels. Overall very good for the price as long as climbing stairs doesn't faze you out.

The Mermaid Resort enjoys an ideal location close to the action but just far enough from the noise so you can get some peace and quiet during the night. It is steps away from public and private transportation (trikes, motorbikes) if you want to explore the better beaches of Puerto Galera such as White beach. The service is top notch with very clean and well equipped rooms: Safe, Cable TV, Good A/C, marble bathroom, very reasonably priced mini bar that that allows actual use doubled by a nice balcony to sit and enjoy that cold one, Wi-Fi is available for free but was mostly slow in the rooms.

Common areas are very clean, pool is great, restaurant serves a variety of local and international cuisine that's good and always served with a smile, staff are all friendly and accommodating, The owners also run Mermaid Diving if you want to do some daytime activities. Overall hard to find much to complain about the resort for the price, be aware the hotel is located right next to the main road so you will hear motorcycles and cars pass by.

The Mermaid Resort is a small and very affordable eco-friendly hotel with just under 30 rooms. Located is very good, right on the seafront in a quiet area near the end of the small strip of sand that makes up Sanbang beach. The resort, while not new has been completely renovated over the past few years and the new owners have done a really great job.

Rooms have a homey feel and are cozy and clean. The space and the furnishing are really good for the price. The swimming pool, bar and restaurant are all at the beachfront so it's a great place relax and enjoy the soothing sea views. The staff are very friendly and attentive to the needs of their guests.

The Oriental Sabang Hill Resort is a friendly and well appointed hotel nestled along the hills at the very edge of Sabang beach. There are quite a few steps to negotiate before reach the resort but that effort is rewarded with stunning view of the ocean and surrounding island, vibe is very relaxing, lots of greeneries around, every room comes with a private little terrace with table and chairs from where you can enjoy the views.

Pool is small but really nice to have during the hottest hours of the day, restaurant and bar are good value. In terms of negative feedback, the free breakfast is a bit of a joke, just coffee with toast and jam so you'll most likely have to order a real one if you hungry. Water pressure is not great but other than that very little to complain about, good value for money for the views alone.

Sabang Oasis is a friendly little no frills 2-star resort with just 12 rooms, located a short 2-3 mins stroll from the shore and a few alleyways away from the main drag and nightlife. Rooms are simple but clean and well maintained, all the basics are covered: There is a queen size bed, fridge , cable TV, free Wi-Fi, safe and air con that open up on a big shared balcony.

No restaurant served food on site but the staff will be happy to order in anything of your choice, all the bars and restaurants are really just a short walk away anyways. Overall a nice little resort with limited facilities but offering clean rooms, a central area, good service in quiet place.

Seashore Beach Resort is location at the quiet end of Sabang beach just a 5-10 minutes walk from the bars and nightlife of Puerto Galera. The seashore has undergone a series of renovations over the last few years adding some newer bungalows and a swimming pool to their already existing facilities. Rooms are basic but comfortable, all the essentials provided besides the lack of a room safe for your valuables. Depending of the floor you can enjoy a small terrace/balcony outside with a bamboo sofa and table.

Facilities include a nice and refreshing swimming pool opened from 9AM to 9PM daily and a restaurant with a choice of interior or exterior seating right on the beach. Prices are reasonable, staff are both friendly and efficient. Only negative real negative points besides the lack of a room safe was the super slow wifi. Some of the standard rooms also could do with a refurb otherwise not bad value for money.

The Steps Garden is a beautiful, Mediterranean-like family owned resort that is made up of a collection of stand alone bungalows and villas that have been spread through the hillside. Standard rooms are not as fancy and a bit more old fashion than the suites but all come with a porch/balcony equipped with table and chairs where you can enjoy beautiful views over the bay and surroundings.

Very nice little pool/bar, restaurant and common areas. Keep in mind you'll be getting a bit of exercise if your bungalow are at the top level since are about 100 steps all the way up. Staff are very attentive and always willing to help. Restaurant is good but a bit pricey. Otherwise all-in-all, good value considering the rate for a 4-star resort, awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Scandinavian Divers is located on Big La Laguna Beach which is a 10-15 minutes walk from Sabang's wild nightlife and girly bars action. I have no idea why this place is called the Scandinavian divers (Now renamed Scandi Divers) as it's owned and ran by an American guy.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable with A/C, Satellite TV, mini bar, WiFi and a good point to mention, the shower never had any shortage of hot water. There is a Bar, pool and eating area down stairs plus another one up stairs, named the Sky Bar which is also open air giving you options to chose between plenty of sun or shade with Music, TV and a Pool table, just great place to relax and chill.

As you first arrive by boat in Sabang, the 1st thing you to catch your attention will is that weird castle at the top of the hill. Welcome to the Tropicana Castle Dive Resort! I really liked the uniqueness of this hotel, most intriguing aspect is it's architecture with lots of wooden furniture and marble wooden furniture.

Most of the facilities are outdated and in need of TLC, The pool however is nice and clean. Medieval theme continues in the rooms, with large four poster bed, old world furniture and big marble bathroom with shower. Location is very central to the nightlife in Puerto Galera.

Where is the action at in Angeles city?

Angeles City is home to the famous Fields Avenue, the main nightlife strip (Similar to Walking Street in Pattaya) best known for its high concentration of strip clubs and girly bars that are all crammed into an eight block radius making it without any doubt the biggest adult travel destination of the Philippines and one of the main in South-East Asia. Single men seeking a long term companion with whom to explore the rest of the country often start their tour here. There are also a number of worthwhile go-go bars located outside of this area called "Perimeter Bars" that will require a short tuk-tuk ride.

Just came back from a 3 day stay in March 2014 and the Angeles Beach Club is still in my book, the Best Hotel of the Philippines for solo or group travelers looking to immerse themselves fully in the girlie bar scene. Their suites are simply amazing and look like something straight out of the playboy mansion with spectacular over the top decor of red and gold coloured walls, velvet padded bedheads and blue neon lights. All this might sound a little tacky at 1st but it really works out great once you try it out and bring back a few bar girls, you will feel like a king from the moment you enter as you see the ladies go nuts in the place!

Room Amenities include an awesome King-size bed (only second to those of Shangri-La Hotels in terms of comfort), Living room area with chesterfield sofa set overlooking a 40" LCD TV with plenty of English speaking channels to chose from including six adult ones, very modern glass covered bathroom area with big round tub that can fit 3 people, separate toilet with it's own auto-flush urinal, separate shower cabin with five adjustable jets, remote controlled room mood lighting for all rooms, individual WiFi router for fast internet, champagne/wine chiller, bulging mini-bar with just about everything imaginable, ultra quiet A/C unit, walk in closet with safe, sound bar and much more.

Although there's a lots of activity going on in & around the hotel, the suites are very well insulated. You don't hear any noise from outside or other rooms so no problem either rocking the house if you want to party hard without being worried of disturbing any others guests.

What the ABC Hotel also does great is provide a necessary escape to the run down infrastructure of Angeles city when you want some downtime. At night when you are having a drink at one of the bar surrounding the pool with real sand at your feet you feel like you're having a nice drink at the beach rather than the town of Clark.

This hotel knows exactly what is: A 1st class, 1 of a kind 5-star resort located right next to the biggest red light district of the Philippines, knows who it is catering to and has a lot of fun doing it! The staff are always extremely friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and treat you like kings. The Angeles Beach Club Hotel amenities include among other things a rooftop bar, two swimming pools with real sand, jacuzzi, swim-up bar & swim-up restaurant, lounge, spa, gym, barber shop & helipad for fast transfers to Manila airport.

Not for nothing they are Ranked #1 on TripAdvisor for Angeles City as well as Travellers' Choice 2014 Winner in Top Hotels of the Philppines category.

Bottom line: There might be less expensive places to stay but Angeles Beach Club Hotel makes up for the price difference in terms of room furnishings, excellent customer service and overall 5 -star experience. Definitely worth the extra $$$ in my opinion. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Oh by the way, want to avoid that rush hour traffic? The ABC Hotel also offers a helicopter service from it's rooftop for a flat rate of 12500 PHP (280$) to Manila and it's airport.

The Orchid Inn Resort is another hotel with a great central location just 50 meters from the main Angeles strip on the more quiet Raymond street loop. The hotel facilities include two 24-hour bar/restaurants, one just at the front entrance that has an ATM inside so you can cash up without even leaving the premise and one besides the pool. Rooms have all you need as far as amenities go though some are starting to show their age but with prices starting around 40$ they still are a bargain. I booked their mid-range Superior Deluxe room which had plenty of space to move around in and came equipped with: Comfy King size bed, LCD TV with lots of channels to chose from, large fridge, good Wi-Fi signal, seating area with table and chairs, electronic safe large enough to fit my laptop inside, decent bathroom with a basic selection of free toiletries and a hot/cold water shower. Staff are a friendly bunch and good at their job, the owners are Australian and the management is Canadian so the place is really well run. The Orchid Inn Resort is very guest friendly so no problem bringing back girls to your room, security is discreet but effective they will always make call you to sure your guest are ok to leave.

So in the end yes, there are more luxurious hotels options in Angeles city, there are cheaper ones, there are newer ones but the price/quality ratio and overall experience at the Orchid Inn is pretty damn good.

I booked their entry level deluxe room facing Fields avenue. Was quite a pleasant experience to be able to sit at your mini balcony to observe the 24 hour a day activity going on on walking street. Rooms have have plenty of space, bed and pillows were very comfortable, has a big flat screen TV on the wall, good water pressure (which is hard sometimes to get in the Philippines), well stocked mini-bar, whole property is served by flawless WiFi signal, A/C worked perfectly, in-room safe, etc all the essentials are covered. Personally the noise didn't worry me much at night just a very light background noise those buit for those who are light sleepers should request a room in the back. Hotel also has a a street level cafe which is nice for people watching. Staff is attentive and friendly, Overall a very nice experience would have no problems recommending this hotel. à

I suppose you all know already what you are getting with the Holiday Inn chain, but this particular branch surpassed my usual expectations. The hotel was really modern and had been recently renovated. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with a big bed, silent A/C unit and walk in shower. The downside is the location as you'll need a 10 mins taxi ride to reach the Angeles and it's nightlife. The hotel does provide a 24/7 car to town and currently charges 300 Pesos (7$) each way.

The Lewis Grand Hotel is located right on Fields avenue about a 1.2KM ( 3/4 of mile) walk from the bars. Not too far, but still somewhat of a distance if you decide to do it on foot but they do have a free shuttle service if you prefer. The room are extremely well kept & modern with everything you need: Comfortable bed, TV with around 90 channels, huge bathroom with rain style shower head, well stocked mini bar at OK prices, tea & coffee machine and a decent sized balcony for breakfast, etc. The service here is top notch, food is excellent & well presented not to forget the fantastic pool. Winner of the Certificate of Excellence 2014 on TripAdvisor.

Rooms are very nicely designed, big see through glass bathroom with marble bath tub and separate rain shower & toilet.
The Upper Deck area has a swim up-bar and restaurant with a nice view opened 24/7, their covered lounge area great place to recover from a hangover.
Bed was by far one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in the Philippines, girls would always sleep late in them.

Perfect hotel for single males, The Wild Orchid Resort is located only three blocks from Fields avenue (the main strip of Angeles city). While the rooms are a bit on the pricey side they are very comfortable and spacious. The air con unit is silent and works good, TV has a good selection of international channels, the fridge is always well stocked, the in room Wi-Fi is of high speed and the room has good soundproofing. They have two large beautiful 24 hour pools, where both have swim up bars & because of their size, are never full. Two great restaurants with great food and quick service. Staff is always smiling and very helpful

Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to get there by foot with advantage that you'll be shielded from the noise. The superior room I was given had been recently renovated with very nice up to date furniture, came with a comfy bed and a shower with proper hot/cold water pressure, Cable TV, No fridge but the free in room Wi-Fi was fast. Included in the price is free Breakfast. The hotel is also located behind a Casino so anyone interested in a little gamble can have fun.

The rooms are on the 2nd floor, subject to different levels due it's location and ongoing parties + music. They are decent and furnished with queen sized beds, cable TV, fridge and air-con unit. For fields avenue, this is a good bargain.

Your Guide to the Guest Friendly Hotels in Boracay

All the guest friendly hotels stated below are located on Boracay island and within walking distance of the main disco bars known for it’s bargirl freelance action: Cocomangas, Summer Place, Guilly’s and Club Paraw. The establishments in this list are all very popular with like minded visitors and I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of them between October and November 2016 to make sure their guest friendly policy is still in effect. Replies provided by hotel management can be seen at the end of each individual hotels description.

So, Where is the action at in Boracay?

Things are definitely low-key affairs in Boracay, so don’t expect flashy neon lights showing you the way to any of the many strip clubs on the island, they don’t exist. What Boracay does have to offer is a very lively club scene, which also means a very active freelance scene. Though obviously not on the scale of a Manila or Angeles city, the island should have enough bar girls to keep you busy for a while.

Anyone interested in trying out Boracay’s freelance scene should concentrate their time in one of the two most popular clubs: Cocomongas (9PM-10PM onwards in Station 1) and Summer Place (11 PM onwards in Station 2). Girls for hire can also be seen along the beach road at station 2 in various locations hiding in the dark and will approach you as you are walking past them come out of nowhere often 2 or 3 at a time.

But just what is a Boracay guest friendly hotel?

A hotel that is considered guest or Guest Friendly / Bargirl friendly/ Girl Friendly simply means that the establishment will accept you taking back an unregistered guest up to your room without charging any extra. A joiner fee can cost anywhere around from 10 to 25$ a night depending on the hotel’s policy. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a lady back up to your room every night then you’re going to be paying a lot more money unnecessarily or worst outright denied entry. This is by no means an indication of their respectability as each hotel has different policies as long as you’re somewhat discreet. I have taken the time to e-mail them all personally to make sure about their policy and have given their reply with the hotel description.

Nigi Nigi is an institution in Boracay and one of the oldest hotels in business on the island. Proof that they keep doing a great job year after year they once again the TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2014 award. Located right at the center of all the action on White Beach beachfront, even though it's situated in a very lively spot, all the rooms are very private and on ground level, engulfed by a lush Balinese-style tropical garden making it very quiet and peaceful. While built in native bungalow style the rooms have all the amenities that you could need (TV, A/C, fridge, bathroom, shower and plenty of space). Restaurant serves great food and the beach bar is one of the best! You'll instantly feel like you're in your second home. Summer place, the biggest bar & disco of Boracay is only 5 minutes walk away so it's pretty easy to pick-up a girl like this one until late at night.

Nigi Nigi Too Beach Resort

After spending a week in Nigi Nigi Nu Noos Beach Resort (just above) last year and loving it, I wanted to give a try at their sister resort in station 1 this trip. Nigi Nigi Too Beach Resort is rated even higher and won hands down TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2014 award for Boracay with a whopping 95% approval rate so I certainly wasn't disappointing! While the resort retains the original Nigi Nigi traditional decor for the bar and restaurant the huts and gone and give way to modern rooms. Not only is Nigi Nigi Too beach resort located on the most pristine part of White beach right outside Willy's Rock but it has the perfect balance between daytime relaxation on the beachfront and nightlife with Cocomangas, the best spot to pickup bar girls early in the evening less than 5 minutes walk away. Guilly's Island and Club Paraw, other freelance alternatives are also just across the street from it! My deluxe room was pretty big (±40 sqm) and tastefully decorated with a king-sized bed, large LCD TV with a good choice of channels, A/C unit was flawless, great Wi-Fi signal, small but well stocked mini-bar, inside sitting area with a table, same outside on the veranda that's separated by a full sliding glass door with a great view, bathroom was spacious and spotless (shower/no tub), proper Wi-Fi signal and the staff are incredibly friendly. Same with the security guard when I brought back this girl. Price also comes with a free daily voucher for a breakfast that's actually good for a meal anytime of the day. In the end not the cheapest of places but highly recommended for a 5 star experience of Boracay island.

Azzurro Di Boracay

White Beach, Station 3, Boracay, Philippines

The Azzurro Di Boracay is one of the cheaper beachfront hotels found on white beach. Resort is relatively small with under 25 rooms so you get an extra level of peace and privacy once inside the enclosed garden that you won't get in bigger resorts. Location is pretty good, just around where station 2 ends & station 3 starts making most of the nightlife accessible on foot but far enough from the bars and clubs to sleep well at night. Summer Place, the biggest disco on the island with the widest selection of girls available is 10 to 15 minutes walk (1.2 KM) away. The Deluxe Room is nothing special, small and basic but clean nonetheless with all the essentials covered: Queen size bed was comfy (not too hard nor springy), small fridge kept my drinks cold, air-con unit doesn't shut off automatically with a key card system so your electronics keep on charging whenever you leave the room, older generation CRT TV had cable, adequate in-room Wi-Fi signal, dresser with storage space, small safe for your valuables and a bathroom with hot and cold shower where towels, soaps & tissues were provided. The Azzurro Di Boracay is attached to a real authentic Italian restaurant with Italian Chef cooking up some great pasta, pizza and fresh grilled seafood, the price is a bit on the expensive side but the food was good. I also loved their coffee selection with some great cappuccino to start off the day with, non of that instant crap like they offer in so many other resorts. No problem neither with the Staff and security guard with me bringing a new bar girl every night. In the end I'd say I got my money's worth staying in this budget hotel as long as you plan onto spending most of your time outside your room it's fine.

Hey Jude South Beach Resort

The Hey Jude South Beach Resort is a lovely all new beachfront property that caught my eye during my last November trip in so I made sure to give it a try this time around. The hotel is located near the end of station 3, one of my favorite places for lazying around at the beach during the daytime hours where the surroundings are still peaceful and quiet compared to the overdeveloped and crowded Station 2. When you do want to sample some of the action or nightlife it's about a 15-20 mins walk to the area where all the bars, shops and restaurants are and 25-30 mins to Summer Place, Boracay's biggest disco with lots of freelancers available for takeout. If you don't care to walk, no problem there are tricycles/tuk-tuk available on a side street less than 5 mins away for drop-off/pickup anywhere on the island. The rooms are modern and clean with all new amenities including: Nice comfy bed, flat-screen TV with great reception and nice selection of channels, mini-bar, electronic safe, Wi-Fi, modern bathroom with free toiletries and the Superior Queen room had large balcony area with a table and chairs and direct view of the beach. FYI: The other available rooms (Standard/Deluxe) are located on the side and have only partial view of the beach. In the end it's not that's big deal of since you can enjoy the same view from the sunbeds a few steps away. The staff is super friendly and helpful had no problems bringing back this girl at night but there is however one DOWNSIDE: They refuse outside massage girls wearing their uniform to come inside their rooms because they have their own blind-massage therapists on location.

La Carmela de Boracay is a budget category beachfront hotel located at the crossroads between station 2 / station 3 close to all the nightlife action. Summer Place, the biggest bar & disco of the island is only 10-15 minutes walk away has the largest selection of bar girls available for pickup as this is where all the freelancers end up when the other venues close or die down around 1-2 AM. La Carmela was first hotel I ever stayed in back in 2007 when this fabulous island was all new to me.. Aaaaaah souvenirs! Anyways I decided to check it out again this year, Initially booked for 3 nights in their main building then returned 2 more night in their "Executive Wing" due to Typhoon Haynan/Yolanda flight cancellations. I found both rooms to be almost identical, here is comparative shot of the room main building VS Executive Wing, the only real difference is could notice was that the executive wing one had a flat-screen TV on the wall while the other in the main building had an older generation TV so unless this is a big deal for you I wouldn't recommend paying extra to stay in the executive wing. Rooms are decent and come furnished with two beds, satellite television with a decent selection of English speaking channels, mini-bar/fridge + in room safe, clean bathroom with shower that had plenty of hot water and a balcony. Free Wi-Fi is only in main area near the lobby, bar & restaurant, paid Wi-Fi is available in room for 100 PHP an hour. Never a single issue with the security bringing back a different girl each and every night so very guest friendly! I found the rates to definitely be of good value for a beachfront property in Boracay in 2013. Agoda periodically shows some good promos for this establishment and if you just happen to stumble on one of them I wouldn't hesitate.

You do need to make sure that she has some ID with her as the guard will request it and keep it until she leaves.

La Isla Bonita Resort

Sandwiched between the Crown Regency and Sands hotel on station 3 La Isla Bonita Hotel is one of the least expensive hotels on White Beach. If you are on a budget or don't want to spend too much this is most likely the best bang for your buck you can get right on the beachfront. I have stayed here on my last three trips and depending of the season a room is generally always somewhere between 25 to 50$. For this price you get a decent no-frills room with clean facilities, A/C, fridge, cable TV. Only complaints is that shower is a bit on the low pressure side and the bedding certainly could be better. The fan rooms are even cheaper but lack a fridge to stock your drinks, safety box and TV. Staff was always very nice and had no problems bringing back a different girl every night.

Microtel by Wyndham Boracay

The Microtel by Wyndham Boracay is tucked away on Diniwid beach, a quiet little cove located just 10 minutes walk north from the beginning of White Beach, the island's main attraction with it’s beautiful 4KM long stretch of sand. Even in Peak season (I stayed here last during the Holy Week 2014) crowds were non-existent and the vibe was very relaxed, sometimes you even felt you had the beach all by yourself. This said depending on the time of the year, the beach directly in front of the resort can shrink to the point of totally disappearing (here is a picture to show what it looked like in April with no beachfront compared to June when it returns) but regardless of the season all you have to do is walk less than a minute to the left to find the beach waiting. The hotel operates a free van shuttle to and from the the island's center (D’Mall) on a hourly basis until midnight, after that you’ll need to get your own ride home that should set you back around 100 PHP. Rooms are clean, modern and are equipped with 2 ultra comfortable queen size beds (I noticed they brag about their chiropractic-approved mattresses on their website but these beds really are great), silent air-conditioning unit, flat-screen TV with lots of channels located on top of the wardrobe, desk area with chair and full-sized bathroom with hot & cold shower and free toiletries. DOWNSIDES: No fridge, No Wi-Fi or a safe inside the room. INSTEAD: An ice machine on the ground level and a water dispenser for hot/cold water on every floor, safety boxes at the front desk and free wifi only available in the public areas. Facilities include a small pool with sun loungers near the beach front as well as a bar and restaurant. Staff was excellent, always smiling and greeting you, security is also fantastic no problem whatsoever with bringing back freelance girls from the discos at night, the Microtel by Wyndham Boracay is very girl friendly even though most of the clientele are couples and families.

Red Coconut is a beautiful 3/4 star hotel centrally located on white beach. The deluxe rooms were exceptionally nice and clean and had all the needed amenities. Room is spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the sea and fitted with flats screen TV, DVD player, mini bar, sofa and sofa table, free and very fast Wifi. There were even a few blue ray movies ready for you to watch. Hotel also has a nice swimming pool and bar. You cant go wrong here. Greetings from Red Coconut Beach Hotel! However, you guest would need to provide in ID at the reception.

The Strand Resort Boracay

The Strands is located a 2 to 3 minutes walk from the beach on a slope towards the end of Station 1 (The prettiest portion of white beach) and is a peaceful oasis among the tourist throngs that can be found in other parts of Boracay. Also not far at all from Cocomongas one of the two main hotspots for freelancers on the island. What you can expect is a four and a half star accommodation offering spacious rooms furnished with orthopedic beds, good A/C, nice high water pressure in the shower, Free WiFi, nice pool and garden Resort. The staff is also very friendly.

The Nirvana Beach Resort may not be a beachfront as its name would suggest but the location is pretty convenient. Only a five minutes walk to White Beach (station 2), D'Mall (largest shopping center of the island with shops, restautants, supermarkets) and D'Talipapa (fresh meat & seafood market). The resort offer serviced condominium/apartment type of accommodations. Every individual unit (good for 4 people) is fully furnished and has two bedrooms, a living room & kitchen corner, dining area, 2 bathrooms/toilets with shower and a big veranda. Great place to share with a buddy where you can bring back girls at night where each has his individual room. The Nirvana Beach Resort also has a small pool and bar. Only minor complains is that the free Wi-Fi signal was low at times and that the water pressure wasn't always great but otherwise a very nice place!

One Crescent Place Hotel

This ia an all new hotel located about 3-5 minutes (220 meters to be exact!) from White Beach and conveniently located in a quiet street. The building is low-rise with 3 floors. Rooms are really nice and modern, well appointed and most importantly immaculately clean. Features good quality bed, split type air-con, TV with cable, fridge, coffee/tea maker, DVD player, Free in room WiFi, hot and cold water for the shower and balcony or terrace.

Guest Friendly policy reply by the One Crescent Place Hotel in Boracay: "It’s OK to bring a joiner to the hotel to stay in your room. For example, you booked a Deluxe Room and you are the only one who will occupy it, you can bring a person (only 1 person) without charge. But if you happen to bring two in your room, you will pay for the 3rd person. However, deluxe room can only accommodate two persons so if in case there will be three of you in the room, better try the Premier Room. It comes with 1 queen-sized bed and 1 single bed while Deluxe Room comes with 1 double-sized bed. Please be noted".

Isla Gecko Resort

Isla Gecko is is located in a quite residential area, about 3 minutes from the beach and not far the party scene. While definitely not a five star resort nor even a three star resort in some aspects the rooms were always clean with a fine working air-con unit. The TV came with a huge range of cable channels to choose from. The shower's water pressure was a bit on the low side though. Rooms have free WiFi internet. The owner and staff was always very friendly and helpful.

All the guest friendly hotels stated below are located within walking distance of the three main areas of Manila known for it’s bargirl and freelance action: The Ermita & Malate district and Makati. These establishments are all very popular with like minded visitors and I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of them as of Febuary 2016 to make sure their guest friendly policy is still in effect. The replies provided by the hotel management can be seen at the end of each individual hotels description.

So, Where’s the action in Manila?

While you can find bars with girls sparsely sprinkled just about anywhere in Metro Manila the biggest concentration is to be found in two main areas. The biggest and oldest is downtown in the Ermita & Malate district where you can find loads of freelancers in one of the many lively bars along M.H.Del Pilar and Mabini street such as L.A. Café (24 hours) and G-spot. The second, only a short cab ride away is located in the more upscale business district of Makati around Burgos Street and is known to have the best looking entertainers and bikini bars of Manila. The prices are accordingly steeper but this is a good place to start for newcomers to the Philippines who will find many similarities with Bangkok’s Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza.

Best Western Hotel La Corona

The Best Western Hotel La Corona is centrally located in Ermita within walking distance from all the action. The main three freelancer pickup joints: LA Cafe/Manila Bay cafe (400 m), Amazonia (300 m) & G-Spot (280 m) are all in direct vicinity 2-3 blocks away. Cowboy grill (100 m), who has some of the best live gigs of the Philippines is located just on the Mabini corner. I love to drop by there for a few beers with a girl before some good times at the hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed but a bit on the small side. Bed is comfortable, TV (while not a flat-screen) has a lot of English speaking channels, small fridge keeps the drinks cold, shower has plenty of hot water, in room safe worked great, hot water pot with free instant coffee is available on the table. Only negative point I had this time around is that the AC was a bit noisy at times. Winner of the "Certificate of Excellence 2013" by TripAdvisor, the Best Western Hotel La Corona is still one of the best options out there in Ermita for the price. Very guest friendly joint so had no problem bringing this L.A. Café girl into my room. Hotel security is great as well, the front desk never fails calling you up to make sure your visitor can leaving.

Sunny Bay Suites (Formerly Boulevard Mansion)

This is one of my favorite hotels in Ermita due to it's very guest friendly policy and location, just a stone's throw from L.A. Café (re-branded a while Manila Bay Café) the biggest venue of the Philippines for freelancers opened 24/7. The other two main Ermita pickup joints are also very near with Amazonia (currently closed) 200 m away & G-Spot 500 m from the hotel entrance. The Studios they offer are budget apartments equipped with a kitchenette that has everything from cooking wares to dining wares, a small dining area, couch corner and beds. Rooms are old and tired so is the furniture but somehow I keep coming back.... On the positive side the prices are generally on the lower end, staff is really great, The free WiFi is surprisingly fast and the TV has plenty of English Speaking channels to recover from a hangover. What I love is also depending what room you got in the hotel you can sometimes see the girls from LA Café on the 2nd floor!

The Manila Lotus Hotel (Formerly: Lotus Garden Hotel) is a newly refurbished hotel in Ermita that has hard to beat rates and a prime downtown location. The best bars for freelance action are all very near: G-Point Smörgåsbord & Bar is straight ahead 50m away, Amazonia Bar a block away (250 m) and L.A. Café / Manila Bay Café, the main pickup joint of Manila one more block down (350 m total walk). I usually always try to review the most basic room they have but in this case it's proven impossible, each of my last three trips here I've been upgraded for free so the pictures are taken from the Deluxe room which was: Clean and pretty spacious with wooden parquetry floor, comfy beds, comes with small kitchenette & dining table in the corner, a well stocked mini-bar, Flat-screen TV with almost 90 channels, bathroom with a nice shower and adequate toiletries, wardrobe with a desk next to it and free WiFi. Breakfast buffet is nice, staff is friendly and competent you can be sure the security will ring up your room you by phone when your visiting guests leaves the hotel. Simply the best value for your money these days if you're looking for something in the Ermita/Malate district.

Last Date Visited: Pictures of the Executive Hotel were taken during my last visit in April 2014 and reflect the: “Superior Double Room”.

The Executive Hotel (Formerly: Executive Plaza Hotel) is conveniently located within walking distance from all of the best freelance pickup joints of Manila's Ermita district: LA Cafe (the biggest of the Philippines open 24/7) is only 350m away, the others being amazonia (550m) & G-Spot (750m). On the opposite side towards Malate a variety of KTV and hostess bars align the street endlessly. Robinson mall is also located right around the corner.

Rooms are spacious and well-looked after though most don't have much in the way of a window view. The Superior Double I booked came equipped with a big comfortable king size bed, flat-screen TV with a great cable package, A/C wall unit with easy control of room temperature, the mini bar loaded with various drinks sold at these prices, there was also a desk in one corner with a few extra chairs laying around, bathroom was equipped with a shower that provided very decent hot/cold water. The staff is really good, same with the security when bringing bargirls back to your room always made sure to ring you up before the girls leave.

Downside: No safe inside the room but available 24h at the reception, no pool.

Las Palmas Hotel de Manila

Stayed in the Las Palmas Hotel de Manila a few times in the past. The cheaper rooms are a bit small though reasonably priced . Beds are very comfy and the place always kept clean. You get lots of channels on TV in English and A/C unit works well. The bathroom is spacious enough and the shower is hot and powerful. Only downside is the pricey internet. Located right in the heart of Malate it's but a short walk from several hotshots for nigh time entertainment. Security in Las Palma is good and never had any problems letting valuables in the room. TIP: Be sure the guest you bring back has proper ID as they are strict about this policy.

Room are big, spotless and the bed extra comfortable. Rooms were actually made twice a day both in the morning and at night as I noticed after going out at night. Right in the middle of the action in Malate/Ermita…

Orchid Garden Suites

This hotel wasn't built yesterday and the age shows. However, this was of no great consequence to us as the comfort level was good. The room are a little tight but clean and well furnished. The suites on the other hand are very spacious with bedroom, living room and kitchen area. The staff, as often in the Philippines, was kind and helpful.

Riviera Mansion Hotel

I initially selected this hotel based on other travelers reviews from Tripadvisor. I can tell you that the hotel pictures don't lie. Rooms were recently renovated, clean and comfortable. Over 80 channels on the TV and good A/C while a bit noisy at times if left on high. The Riviera Mansion is only a couple of minutes from LA Cafe (now called Manila Bay Cafe). Will cost you but a couple of dollars for a taxi ride to Makati, Mall of Asia or Greenbelt.

I stayed here for 3 days and I had an great stay. It's very close to all attractions of Malate and Ermita and has very good amenities & clean rooms with backup generators, soft comfortable beds, Cable TV and fridge.

The room are squeaky clean, spacious and elegant. The bed and pillow really comfy, plus the balcony and the view is really a plus factor, a magnificent view of the pool and the Manila Bay area. The price was much lower than I paid at the Makati Shangri-La' for similar amenities.

The Sheraton Manila Bay (Formerly: Pan Pacific) is a pretty good value compared to other genuine five star hotels in Manila, which will easily go for twice the price & up. Check in fast and friendly with welcome drinks. The standard room was roomy and well appointed with a beautiful view of the Manila Bay. The bathroom was also roomy and has a sliding window which divides the bath tub (which has it's own TV) from the bedroom. The room's king size bed was wonderfully relaxing and came with crisp white sheets and down feathered pillows. Comes with complimentary internet access and a big LCD TV. The Pool area was always quiet during my stay with plenty of chairs for sunbathing.

Location doesn't get any better than this in Makati! Just on the corner of Burgos street and it's girlie bars, everything you may need is with-in walking distance. My room had a terrific view over Manila and it was quite big. The king size bed was pretty comfortable and despite the heavy traffic noise in the morning I slept well. Minibar prices are ridiculously high but there is a 7-eleven on the corner where you can get everything you need to fill it up at a fraction of the price. In the end I feel for the price of the rooms and prime location, the hotel was very good value for my money. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for cheap affordable accommodation.

Hotel is centrally located in the Makati district just to Greenbelt! A place where you can be sure not to be hassled by beggars and peddlers of all sorts in a very secure environment. To keep it short... Everything was perfect, to the soft beds and pillows to the amenities available in the rooms. Great view of the business district from the window. They also have a nice pool, a number of bars and restaurants to choose from and spa services. Only downside is the bathtub that I felt was a bit too small to use if you are a tall sized European (No biggie) and that there was no free WiFi or internet connection.

Oxford Suites is also located right in the heart of the night life of Makati… Clearly that’s not for families as it’s on the corner of Burgos Street with its go-go bars and all that entails. Room was spacious and clean, the furniture, TV, Air Con and bathroom all in good condition, staff friendly and the food was awesome, I noticed only one minor problems as the water pressure was a bit on the low side..

The best selling point of the Royal Bellagio Hotel is it's location smack in the middle of Burgos street (Manila's red light district) it just doesn't get any better than this! Room was a bit small but fine for a solo traveler, everything is very clean and well maintained with all the expected basic amenities: Comfortable bed, mini-bar, A/C, TV with a good choice of channels and a very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside I could think of was the missing in room safety box. TIP: Try to get a room higher up to avoid street noise.

The Manila Peninsula is a lovely, well run, top of the line hotel in Makati, the modern central district of Manila. The hotel doesn’t have all the polished opulence of the Hong Kong Peninsula, but Manila’s not HK after all. The rooms are large, very well equipped and attractively decorated. The beds well, once you drop into it you are guaranteed a blissful night's sleep. Everything is clean and everything works perfectly as would be expected by a 5 star establishment. Breakfast is simply outstanding, something I looked forward to each morning.. There is extensive security entering the grounds, which reflects the reality of life in Manila rather than on the hotel. The level of service is typical of any five star Asian hotels.

The bar girl friendly hotels stated below are all centrally located in Siem Reap and within walking distance of Pub street, the major nightlife spot of the city. In the few instances where they might be slightly out of the way I made sure to mention just how long of tuk tuk ride (from 5 to 15 minutes) it is to the center. These establishments are all very popular with like minded visitors and I have personally taken the time to contact each and every single one of them to make sure their guest friendly policy is still in effect. You can check out the reply they provided with the hotels description. All offer both great value and good service while the rates themselves can greatly vary from budget to 5 star luxury.

So, Where is the action at in Siem Reap?

The bulk of the visitors who make their way to Siem Reap are more interested into daytime visiting of nearby temples than partying but this doesn't mean there's no mongering to be had. Most of the popular downtown bars are close to the river and market, down the appropriately named Pub Street. Freelancers which are referred to as taxi-girls in Cambodia are found roaming the bars in this part of town and more specifically at Martini Nightclub and Beer Garden, the liveliest disco in town. The Bakeng Night Club located on sivutha street near the night market is also packed full with dancing Khmer youngsters by 10pm every night. Then the Zanzy Bar, a late night dive also on sivutha street has scores of working girls.

A hotel that is considered guest or Bargirl friendly / Guest Friendly / Girl Friendly simply means that the establishment will allow and won’t charge any extra to take back an unregistered guest up to your room. A joiner fee can cost anywhere around from 10 to 25$ a night but could be even higher depending on the hotel policy. So if you unknowingly book a non-guest friendly hotel and plan on taking a girl back up to your room everyday for a week then you’re going to be paying a lot more money unnecessarily or worst outright denied entry since Cambodian hotels are generally more strict than their Thai counterparts. Just to give you an example, out of the 160 that I contacted in Siem Reap only 25 responded favorably.. This is by no means an indication of their respectability as each hotel has different policies as long as you’re somewhat discreet. The Angkor Palace Resort & Spa is great out-of-town base for touring the temples during the day that's neither too far away from the bars at night. Rated as one of the 25 best hotels and resorts of Cambodia, you really can't go wrong here. Bedrooms are large, stylish, clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful and everyone we met went out of their way to make us welcome here. The piping hot water was great at bath/shower time after a long day visiting the temples. The pool area and gardens were a delight to relax in. I would highly recommend the Resort to anyone looking for 5 star accommodations in Siem Reap as it had some excellent value.

Rooms are the Bunwin Boutique Hotel are spacious, modern, clean, comfortable and the bathroom is also fairly big and well furnished with fresh linens and towels, soaps and shampoos. The gardens nice, and the peaceful atmosphere was perfect for eating breakfast by the pool every morning.

The complimentary breakfast itself is quite a treat! Expect to get fueled up each morning with a three course breakfast of bread basket filled with baked goods served with homemade jam, a main of your choice (Asian or American), and a fruit platter to finish, all accompanied with espresso coffee, hot tea and freshly squeezed juices. The grounds are covered with tropical plants and is very well cared for by the staff. Located 2 KM away from Pub street but a complimentary free 2-way tuk-tuk service from the hotel is offered until 22:00.

The Jasmine Lodge was amazing for the price: Clean and nicely decorated basic rooms with a choice of Fan or AC , TV and hot water in the showers, free WiFi and very friendly and helpful staff. Amenities include a

The Sonalong Boutique Village and Resort is a lovely little hotel with only 18 rooms set in peaceful gardens. The Room are a little basic but spacious and comfortable. Shower only though no bathtub but with good air con. Wonderful private balcony looking out over the central garden of trees and flowering shrubs.

The place is an oasis of calm in the mist of a busy town. Its only a few minutes tuktuk ride to pub-street or a 10 to 15 Mins walk back at night.
