The Aya Boutique Hotel is conveniently located on the Pattaya city walk, a quiet little promenade only 15 seconds from Beach Road and about 5 minutes after that from the entrance of walking Street. The rooms are clean and modern, not the biggest in size but very well designed with all the standards one would expect from a 4-star hotel in this category: A really comfortable king size bed with a generous provision of pillows, hardwood floors, large Samsung Flat-screen TV with a decent selection of English speaking channels, free wi-fi for multiple devices, a loft-area with a sofa in the corner near the window, silent air-con unit, mini bar, closet with bathrobe & slippers, kettle with coffee and tea bags, small balcony with chair & table (in my case with no view), bathroom has sink with toiletries in one corner and in the other a shower and a toilet. Hotel also has a half-covered pool on the 3rd floor & a small gym with terrace on the top floor. The Aya Boutique Hotel has been awarded  once again TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2013 award so If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and  modern guest friendly hotel (see policy) with a friendly staff  that greets you with smile every time you bring back a girl you definitely can't go wrong with this place.

Baan Sila - OYO 116 Natural Beach Hotel

The Baan Sila is a new wing in the back that was added to the OYO 116 Natural Beach Resort. Location is actually quite good, quiet enough for a good night’s sleep yet only 30 seconds from Beach Road. Walking Street is also within easy reach (900 meters away) about a 10 minutes stroll. Rooms are basic but clean and functional with everything you need: Decent sized bed, flat-screen TV, big fridge, good A/C unit, free Wi-Fi, room safe, kettle with coffee, bathroom has a few toiletries for the shower, there is a small balcony with chairs and a table. Hotel also has a nice little pool. Very friendly staff and no problems with bringing back girls. Ladyboys lovers will be disappointed to know they do not allow them in the rooms as they were displaying a "no ladyboys" sign at the reception.

Bayview Hotel Pattaya

The Bayview Pattaya is a very popular hotel located right next door to the Central Festival Mall, so getting around anywhere from here is very easy: Beach is right at your doorsteps, the beer bars of Soi 7 & 8 are less than 5 minutes walk and in the opposite direction, Walking street is just 10 minutes away on foot. The resort itself is nicely designed and spread over a huge area going all the way from Pattaya 2nd road to Beach road, offering a little oasis of peace right at the heart of Pattaya. My first impressions were great, felt like I had entered a 5-Star hotel, lobby has been made up very nicely, with an attractive swimming pool area with sun loungers in the back. Staff was very friendly and easy going with overnight guests, just drop the ID Card at the reception and off you go so the Bayview Pattaya is certified guest friendly. Facilities also include also a second smaller pool in the front, a fitness center and a tennis court.

Rooms at the Bayview Pattaya are gradually being renovated, currently they have finished about half of the "Mountain View Wing" and the one I am reviewing had not been refurbished yet, so keep in mind that by the end of this year (2015) they should all have been updated and look better.

The Deluxe room I booked was clean and big enough, a little old fashioned and in need of refurbishment but still of very acceptable standard. Amenities include: a very comfortable king size bed with good linen and soft pillows, a flat-screen TV with plenty of channel to chose from, very quiet and effective air-con unit, mini-bar with a good selection of spirits, quick WiFi for up to 3 devices, decently sized electronic safe, little couch for relaxing by the window, a tiny balcony with a single chair and a cocktail table, small but adequate bathroom with bath/shower and a selection of free toiletries. In the end I really did enjoy my stay, great staff, location and facilities, the only downside were the rooms felt a little dated but this should soon be fixed since half have already been upgraded.

Baywalk Residence

The Baywalk Residence has an excellent location right on Pattaya Beach Road, just a stone's throw from the beach and close to all the action with Walking Street less than 5 minutes away. Accessing the lobby is done from within a sort of enclosed yard that has the advantage of being further away from beach road which can be quite busy at times, the 24-hour security does a good job making sure no one can get in without proper identification. Staff is very courteous and helpful, no problems or attitude with bringing back a girl overnight and like in any other guest friendly hotel, just make sure she has proper ID with her. Included in the price is buffet breakfast that's pretty much standard for 3 to 4 star hotel, the open air restaurant that serves it is situated on the 5th floor and faces the sea so it's a very pleasant way to start your day watching life go by. The Baywalk Residence also has rooftop pool on the 7th floor overlooking Pattaya Bay and a small gym for health enthusiasts.

I stayed in their Executive Nouveau room which was properly equipped and reasonably modern, condition and set up was fine, just the wood tone of the room maybe a bit dark, otherwise no real issues. As expected in Thailand the bed was harder than your average western standards but nothing really in the way of having a good night's sleep, besides it is a little lounger with table. Other amenities included a panel next to the bed providing easy access to climate control and room lights, flat-screen TV that seemed brand new, fast and reliable Wifi (no probs streaming HD Videos), in-room safety-box offering a decent amount of storage space, good sized mini-bar, wardrobe with open and closed section for your clothes, clean bathroom with free toiletries set and separate shower and bath. Room also has a private balcony where you can sit out on or dry your clothes on, mine overlooked the Pattaya City Walk which has stalls and a few bars, there's a little noise from bars and live music early in the night but that dies out by 11PM. In the end a very pleasant stay at a kick-ass location.

The Beach Front Resort

The Beach Front Hotel is a new property that opened for business in August 2014, located along beach road on the corner with Soi 4 it's just across the street from one of the better parts of Pattaya beach. While the hotel area itself is quiet there's still plenty of bar girl action within a 10-15 mins walk radius: Soi 6 is less than 5 mins away (240 m), Soi 7 & 8 are a little over 10 mins (900 m) and the Drinking Street complex (in front of Tiffany's cabaret) is a 12 to 15 mins (950 m) walk. Arriving much too early and needing some sleep, I decided to go with a Twin room instead of waiting hours for the double I had initially booked to to be vacated. Otherwise had quite a pleasant stay at the Beach Front Resort, their standard room is basic but well-appointed with comfy beds, flat-screen TV, a big refrigerator with loads of space for your drinks, free Wi-Fi & Wired internet with excellent signal for any number of your devices, good air-con unit, desk & chair, large wardrobe, coffee/tea making facilities and a great bathroom with shower offering a good selection of complimentary toiletries. Only downside was there was the small safe and the fact there is no outside view or window in some of their most basic rooms, if this a problem for you don't forget to ask for one when booking or at check-in time. The beachfront restaurant where they serve the free breakfast is quite good, ate there a few times during my stay, staff is nice and tries its best. Last but not least the security is very easygoing, no problems bringing back girls overnight to the room, The Beach Front Hotel is certified guest friendly!

Bella Villa Prima Hotel

The Bella Villa Prima Hotel is located in a peaceful area of North Pattaya with the beach only 5 minutes away (300m). While Soi 4 itself is a very quiet street there's plenty of entertainment options just around the corner: Soi 6 and it’s bar girl action is under 5 mins away (230 m), a little over twice that distance in the opposite direction are the beer-bars of the Drinking Street complex (just in front of Tiffany's cabaret) and Soi 7/8, another stronghold with 50 or more beer-bars can be reached in under 15 mins walk. Otherwise a 2-3 minutes stroll in either direction will give you access to either one of the two main baht bus lines if you don't feel like walking.

The hotel facilities include: a lovely little pool area with sun loungers in the back, a small fitness center equipped with the basics. Staff are friendly and polite, 24-hour security is good, tested their Guest Friendly policy and can confirm that there is no problems with bringing back a bargirl back up to your room.

I stayed in one of their Standard rooms which was very pleasant, enjoyed the small balcony overlooking the pool area. Rooms are reasonably spacious, clean and bright with a very decent set of amenities: Bed is big and comfortable, flat-screen TV while not the biggest offered a good selection of channels, aircon was silent and worked well, fridge is huge with a very acceptable mini-bar price list, there's a little table with two chairs near the kitchen area if ever want to order some room service or microwave food, the safe could easily fit my laptop and still had quite a bit of space ,wardrobe also got plenty of storage space for your clothes, bathroom facilities were very decent with bath/shower. The only downside I experience during my stay was the slow and often disconnecting WiFi signal, a real pain at peak hours otherwise I found the Bella Villa Prima to be a good bang for your buck, it's definitive not by accident they were awarded Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence 2014. Recommended!

Best Beach Villa

The Best Beach Villa enjoys a great location smack in the middle of Soi 5, from here Pattaya beach is only 2-3 mins walk away (200m), while Soi 5 itself is a very quiet street, there's lots of entertainment available within it's immediate vicinity: Soi 6 and it’s bar girl action is just under 5 mins away (300 m), about twice that distance in the opposite direction are the beers bars of the Drinking Street complex (just opposite to Tiffany's cabaret), while Soi 7/8, another stronghold with over 50 beer bars can be reached in 10-15 mins walk. Otherwise a 2-3 minutes walk in either direction will get you to one of the two main bath bus lines if you don't feel like walking. Hotel facilities include a relaxing pool and a very decent buffet breakfast is included in the price.

The Deluxe room I stayed in was clean and quite roomy, the furniture which included a table, desk, wardrobe and chairs felt dated and definitely could do with a facelift, same went for the grainy older generation TV, bed was big but a little hard to my liking as they often are in Thailand, refrigerator was a lovely full-size model that offered lots of space for your drinks, the room safe was on the small side, just large enough to fit my 11" laptop, bathroom was fine,  tub/shower has a good steady flow of hot water, free toiletries were also provided and there's a small balcony if you ever need to catch some fresh air or dry clothes.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, arranged my onward trip to Koh Maak with them and the price was very decent, last but not least, Best Beach Villa is confirmed Guest Friendly and very easy going with my overnight guests. Overall still a good stay, not the newest of rooms but due to the location and price it wasn't a bad deal.

Eastiny Bella Vista Hotel & Residence

The Eastiny Bella Vista Hotel & Residence is located on Soi Night Out, a short side street that connects Soi 7 & 8 together in an area with plenty of nigthlife options. Beach road is less than 5 minutes away on foot & Walking Street is around 20 minutes walk (1.5 KM) or just 5 using the Songthaew. The Bella Vista had the cheapest rates of all the Eastiny group of hotels I have come to stay so far. Just around Christmas in Peak season I found a room under 30$ on agoda and gave it a try. Definitely in the budget category the hotel is modest but the facilities are decent enough. Room was basic but kept clean and tidy with: a bed that didn't give me any problems getting sleep at night, older generation TV with a limited selection of international channels, A/C unit, mini-bar at decent prices and a selection of snacks, No free in room Wi-fi but available at a rate of 5 hours /100THB, a wardrobe for your clothes and small table with chair, bathroom has free toiletries, shower typically floods the area like all Thai wet rooms and a small balcony with a view onto Soi Night Out. The bars nearby play live music till 3 am so it might be a little noisy in some rooms, wasn't a problem for me but you might want to ask for one not facing them if you are an early/light sleeper. Staff was very friendly upon arrival and throughout my stay, very guest friendly no problems with bringing  girls back up to your room. All in all for the money paid it was very good just don't come here expecting luxury.

Eastiny Seven Hotel 

1194 Soi 7, Pattaya Beach Road, Pattaya

The Eastiny Seven is smack in the middle of the action of the beer bars of Soi 7 so you can expect loud music and girls screaming as soon as step onto the street. But hey you are in Pattaya after all, isn’t this what you are coming for? More action less than a minute away on Soi 8 with just as many beer bars and girls. Beach is about 100 meters down the road and Walking Street 1.5 KM away, 20 minutes walk or just 5 using the Baht bus. Now for the hotel: Eastiny 7 is a good no frills very reasonably priced joint. Nothing fancy here but the rooms are clean and furnished with all the needed basic amenities: Bed is comfortable with it's sheets changed daily, A/C unit control keps the room cool at all time, older generation CRT TV is a bit of a let down but comes with a decent selection of English speaking channels, mini bar & snacks are very reasonably priced, has a room safe, small balcony with a view on Soi 7 and sea, Free Wi-fi only available in the lobby (but can be purchased for a minimal fee), On the bathroom sink you have a selection of toiletries and the bath/shower combo had plenty of hot water. Room service is available and also reasonably priced. Hotel has a nice little pool on the third floor but with limited sun beds. If you are planning on getting early nights sleep ask for a room at the back because noise at front goes on until 2-3 AM. Staff is friendly and their Guest Friendly policy let's you bring as much girls as you want once at a time but if you need 2 you'll have to fork out an extra 300 THB.

Flipper Lodge

The Flipper Lodge is located right on Soi 8 which is a very lively street of Pattaya with plenty of girls, beer bars and nightlife options, only 100 meters from the beach and about 15 to 20 minutes walk (1.5 KM) to Walking Street this is a great option if you want Pattaya’s action right at your doorstop.  First impression on arrival was good, after staying a few nights in two different Eastiny hotels on soi 7 & 8 the Flipper Lodge didn't have that budget feel to it and was a pleasant upgrade. Room I got in Building B was very clean, of decent size and nicely furnished with a comfortable king size bed, Flat screen TV with English speaking channels, good A/C unit, well stocked mini bar offering snacks and drinks at decent prices, seating area with two chairs and a table next to the bed, wardrobe for your clothes, nice bathroom with free toiletries near the sink, strong shower with plenty of hot water, no balcony in the room but a rooftop swimming pool with nice view over Pattaya and the sea. Rooms are cleaned daily to a very good standard, staff was always nice and hotel is confirmed guest friendly, no issues bringing girls back to your room and no joiner fees.  Now for the downsides: There is No free Wifi (charged 70 THB/hour) and no  room safe (safety deposit box are available at the reception) but if you can do those For about $50/night you get good value at the Flipper Lodge.

Pattaya Blue Sky Hotel

The Pattaya Blue Sky Hotel is new property that has just been opened in 2014 which enjoys a quiet location towards the top of Soi 5. Beach is only a 3 mins walk away (250m) and while the hotel area in itself is generally very quiet there's still lots of entertainment available within a 5 to 15 walk radius: Soi 6 and it’s bar girl action is less than 5 mins away (300 m), about double that distance are the beers bars of the Drinking Street complex (in front of Tiffany's cabaret) while Soi 7/8 can be reached within 10-15 mins walk. Hotel  facilities include a nice little pool on the top 8th floor (not intended for laps but great for cooling off nonetheless). Staff were always cheerful, housekeeping crew kept the rooms spotless and security had no issues with me bringing back bargirls from Soi 6 so the Pattaya Blue Sky Hotel is confirmed Guest Friendly (do keep in mind that this is one girl at a time, if you want two it's an extra 500 THB).

Overall good experience at the Blue Sky Hotel, their Superior room is spacious and beautifully laid out with a comfortable king size bed, 42" Flat screen TV fixed to the wall, a little lounge area with two relaxing chairs and a table, Free Wi-Fi that worked properly, in room safe providing plenty of storage space, small desk with chair next to the mini-bar (drink prices), a balcony with two chairs and a table but not much of a view, nice bathroom with rain shower & some free toiletries, kettle with all you need to make your morning coffee, wardrobe with slippers, free water etc.  In the end good value for money, would recommend!

Sea Me Spring Hotel

The Sea Me Spring location is ideal for those looking for a hotel within walking distance to all that Pattaya has to offer but  at the same time just far away to be sheltered from it's noise and chaos. Smack in the middle of Beach Road on Soi 10 the beach is only 2 minutes away, the beer bars of Soi 7/8 around 500 meters further up & Walking Street a 10 to 15 minutes walk (1.1KM). The Sea Me Spring Hotel is a modern new property only a few years old with a great little rooftop pool that offers incredible view over Pattaya and it's bay. Rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped with all the expected comforts: Big and comfortable beds with a sofa corner, Flat screen TV with English speaking channels, efficient A/C unit, large & well stocked fridge, free Wi-Fi, room safe, large bathroom that has separate walk-in shower and bathtub (good western standard water pressure) with a selection of free toiletries found on the sink. Thre is also a balcony with chairs and a table if you want some fresh air. Cleaning staff does a great job at keeping the room  looking like new every day. Staff is actually quite fun and there is no problem with bringing back a girl at the hotel they are very guest friendly. I had a great stay and will definitely will be staying here again, highly recommended!

Season Five Hotel

The Season Five hotel is a brand new modern property that's been opened a little over a year now, facilities are top notch and everything is kept spotless from the reception / restaurant / communal area to the nice long pool with bar & gym on the rooftop. Located in a nice and quiet area on Soi 5, it's very close to the beach that's just 250 m away and regarding entertainment, you can easily make your way to many of the beer-bars enclaves Pattaya has to offer on foot: The Craziness of Soi 6 is just under 5 minutes walk, Soi 1's Drinking Street Pub less than 10 mins away and Soi 7/8 is also very doable in around 15 mins. Walking street is quite a long walk away though (30 mins) but the songthaew (pickup/baht bus) can get you there in about 10 mins if there's not too much traffic. Staff are attentive but not in your face and security very easy going with the overnight guests I brought, so the Season Five hotel is confirmed Guest Friendly.

Great 1st impressions on arrival, the Deluxe room really felt comfortable, very modern and huge in size with a king size bed and chaise sofa to lounge at it's center. Very little to complain about my stay here, perhaps the TV could have been a little bigger but still lots of channels to chose from. Otherwise a great set of amenities offered that included among other things: Free Wi-Fi for up to 4 devices, excellent touch screen climate control, a mini-bar with reasonably priced drinks, big safety box that could fit a 15" laptop, clean bathroom with a bathtub offering lots of water pressure from the rain shower and the usual selection of free toiletries, there's also a little kitchen sink area which offered tea/coffee making facilities but no cooking/heating options. Rooms have a small balcony with two chairs that came in very handy for drying clothes during the Thai new year. In the end I was very pleased with the room and would definitely stay here again.

Seven Zea Chic Hotel

The Seven Zea Chic Hotel is a new property that opened only a year a half ago. First thing I really liked about it was the location on Soi 5: Very quiet just 2 minutes walk (140 m) from the best part of Pattaya beach but less than 5 mins away (260 m) from Soi 6 and it's bar girl action, Soi 7/8 is also very doable around 10 mins (850 m) on foot.  Walking street is quite a stroll though (30 mins) but the songthaew (pickup/bus) can get you there in 10 to 15 depending on the traffic. The rooms are very nicely designed with a big glass wall, everything felt modern and newly decorated. Perhaps just a little sparse on furniture and missing a sofa or chairs in a corner but no biggie. The amenities in general were great: the king size bed and pillows were super comfy, flat-screen TV provided a decent selection of English speaking channels, climate control was spot on, minibar was stocked with refreshments though a little on the expensive side, free WiFi signal was speedy, wardrobe with bathrobes and a safe that should fit a 13 to 15" laptop, nice bathroom with a selection of free toiletries and a closed shower with excellent water pressure. A highlight of the Seven Zea Chic Hotel is their rooftop infinity pool which spans the length of the building. A great place to chill on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar enjoying the the fantastic view overlooking Pattaya bay. Staff were friendly with proper English skills and no issues bringing back girls at all hours into the room. For the 50$ I paid I find this hotel to be of good value & I'll definitely be back, Recommended!

Siam Bayshore Resort and Spa

Lots of things to love about the Siam Bayshore Resort! First the unbeatable location right along Walking street, all you need to do step out and you'll be in the middle of the action in a matter of minutes. Secondly the layout of the resort, set on huge tropical grounds with trees, plants, fountains, big swimming pools (one at the back along the tropical garden and the other right in front of the sea), koi ponds, bars and no less than 5 restaurants, once you set foot inside this massive property, which spreads from Walking Street to secondary road, peace and tranquility sets in and you could easily forget that you were in the middle of Pattaya. I was actually quite surprised just how nice the place was, from the staff at the reception/bars/restaurants to the security guards, service was excellent, no issues or stares either when bringing back bargirls up to your room, the Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa is certified Guest Friendly.

I Booked their cheapest accommodations, the Tropical Deluxe room which are located in the back, 4-5 minutes walk from the main building next to the swimming pool and was "upgraded" to a very similarly looking Deluxe rooms in the main building, personally I wouldn't recommend paying the extra just for being just next to Walking Street since there are no improvements in term of amenities. The Deluxe Rooms are big and clean but I couldn't help but feel a little let down from the rest of the phenomenal amenities of the resort. No biggie but some of the furniture could do with a little refresh, otherwise no complaints here, bed was quite comfortable, next of which you had a little couch and table area to watch the TV from, room safe is of medium size and one could expect to fit a 13-inch laptop inside, bathroom on the other hand is a bit smallish with just enough space to fit a bath/shower, opposite of which you find a sink offering an impressive selection of free toiletries, all rooms also enjoy a small balcony. In the end a Great Stay, Recommended!

The Weekender Pattaya (They finally changed names from the horrible :Tweet Tweet Nest Pattaya Hotel) is located on a little side street between soi 7 & 8, the beach is just around the corner 50 meters away. You can expect plenty of girls, cat calls, beer bars, live music venues and nightlife right at your doorstep as this is a popular area of Pattaya. I booked their entry level Superior Room and was quite pleased with it, spacious and nicely set out they have somewhat of a lounge/nightclub feel to them with the adjustable lighting, this was really great to set the mood when you brought a bargirl back. Amenities included a very comfortable bed with desk area behind it, couch,  LED TV with a selection of around 25 channels, nicely designed bathroom with rain shower & free toiletries, bird caged themed chairs with a small table near the entrance, wardrobe with big electronic safe, good Wi-Fi signal and a nice little balcony to chill out on overlooking the beer bars of Soi 7. Only thing missing was a pool, otherwise pretty damn great for the price.
